“You have to be lucky in penalties, and we didn't have luck on our side tonight. "We have several players who are injured or not in 100 percent condition," said Myung as quoted by Yonhap News Agency.

Apart from highlighting the condition of his team, Myung also regretted a little that several of his overseas players could not join this tournament. It was recorded that there were three South Korean U23 overseas players who were not given their club's permission to join the national team. They are Yang Hyun-jun (Celtic FC), Bae Jun-ho (Stoke City), and Kim Ji-soo (Brentford).

“It's true that the loss of European-based players makes things difficult for us. "We use various channels to get these clubs to agree to send their players to us," he explained again.

"But before the tournament, we couldn't bring them here for several reasons," he concluded.
