NEWS TOPIC:

NOBARTV.CO.ID Como denies approaching Thom Haye, Italian club which has just been promoted to Serie A Como 1907 denies that the club is approaching Thom Haye. Previously, it was rumored that Haye would move to a club whose shares are mostly owned by Indonesians.

As is known, Como and Parma are two of the three Serie B clubs that are certain to appear in the Italian Serie A for the 2024-2025 season. This certainty was obtained after Parma became champions of the 2023-2024 Serie B season while Como was runner-up. Meanwhile, another ticket to Serie A will be contested by several clubs below Parma and Como.

The majority of shares in Como itself are currently owned by the Djarum group owned by an Indonesian, Hartono. Therefore, once the club was confirmed for promotion to Serie A, various rumors spread regarding the players Como would recruit in coming. In this case, several retainers said by netizens to be a new recruit. This suspicion cannot be separated from Como's ownership, making many people assume that players from Indonesia will be easily accepted there.

And coincidentally, one of the Indonesian national team players, Thom Haye, recently officially parted ways with his club SC Heerenveen. Haye has been at Heerenveen for 2,5 years. And at the end of the 2023-2024 season, Haye will certainly not play for the Eredivisie team. On that basis, it is also rumored that Haye will become Como's new recruit. With his experience playing in elite European competitions, it is natural that Haye is predicted to become a new player for the promoted club.

But apparently, Como denied it. The representative of Como 1907, Mirwan Suwarso, firmly stated that his party had not even thought about bringing in the Indonesian National Team retainer. Mirwan emphasized that it was "impossible" to bring in Haye. Because according to him, Haye does not meet the standards to play in Serie A with Como. Even if Haye ends up joining, Mirwan predicts the midfielder will become the third layer.

“It's impossible (recruit Thom Haye). We've looked at him and he's not up to the standard to elevate [the team]. "So a coating might be possible, but it's a third coating," said Mirwan Suwarso.

“We've looked at Thom Haye because he's suitable for Serie B. But it's not certain to go to Serie A, so we don't dare yet. Venezia will also do the same thing if they qualify for Serie A, of course looking for new players too. "If not, they can go back down to Serie B," he added.

“But we still lack number 8 and 10 players who have to be dynamic and aggressive. Meanwhile, Thom himself is not that type because we need a pressing game. Thom is a quarterback type player with accurate passes from behind, not a pressing type player. "So the system doesn't suit our game," he concluded.
